The security guards at the door quickly reply, "Where the hell have you been?" and let him in. </span><span style="font-family:verdana;font-size:85%;">This joke aimed at a rather wacky Irish stereotype may infact be true.</span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;font-size:85%;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:verdana;font-size:85%;">At the recent opening of the Cannes Film Festival, Bono for no apparent reason passed a potato to a perfect stranger. Perhaps he is promoting Irishness or good health or indeed a worthy cause that a mega celebrity would donate their time to. It could also be that he feels the woman is a bit malnourished and much like a potato-less famine victim needs to fatten up. What next? He might pull a pint of Guiness from his back pocket or some Shamrock from his arse.
